DESCRIPTION

Envirotherm is a locally manufactured high quality cellulose fibre loose fill insulation designed provide a comfortable living environment , lower heating costs and keep families warm and safe. It is non-polluting, non-irritating, non-toxic due to natural material content. Envirotherm substantially outperforms other traditional fibers not only for thermal protection, but also for sound control and fire safety. As energy costs continue to rise Envirotherm will continue to provide an effective practical solution to your home comfort.

MATERIALS

Envirotherm is made from all-natural cellulose fibers that not only provide unsurpassed resistance to heat flow but are treated for fire retardancy with a boron formulation making it one of the safest construction materials on the market. It is manufactured in St. John's, Newfoundland from recycled newsprint using a fiberizing engineering process creating a high quality, high R-value, low density cellulose insulation. Envirotherm contains no formaldehyde, asbestos or fibreglass. Envirotherm is PH controlled and is virtually non-corrosive, does not decay, support mold or bacteria, and repels insects mice and other pests.

ENVIRONMENT IMPACT

Enviro-Shred Inc. manufacturers its quality products with the protection of the environment in mind by using energy efficient motors and equipment thereby helping to conserve our natural resources.. When you install Envirotherm cellulose insulation you are not only choosing to save energy in your home , you are choosing to save energy at the factory where the insulation is produced. By using locally collected recycled newsprint to produce cellulose fibers we significantly reducea substantial amount waste in our landfill sites. In fact Enviro-Shred recycles 1.5 million pounds of newsprint yearly. Envirotherm is a practical solution to rising energy costs by providing both economic and ecological advantages over other imported products.

LIMITATIONS

Envirotherm loose fill insulation is suitable for indoor use in building construction on horizontal surfaces in the ambient temperature range of -50ĵ to 80ĵ C. Spaces to be insulated should be checked first and barriers installed to keep insulation materials from coming into direct contact with recessed light fixtures, stove pipes, or within 2 inches of chimneys, etc. Adequate attic ventilation is essential for good insulation performance.

TECHNICAL DATA

Envirotherm insulation has been tested and approved for use in accordance with the requirements of CAN/CGSB-51.60, M90 A Cellulose Fibre Loose Fill Thermal Insulation@ for the following:

Testing verified by Ortech Laboratory, Mississauga, Ont.

Envirotherm carries the CCMC listing No. 12736-L.

Envirotherm is manufactured by Enviro-Shred Inc. using the ISO 9002 management guidelines for quality assurance standard.

CHARACTERISTICS

Because Envirotherm is a blown insulation it forms a tight uniform seal around irregular objects such as wiring, plumbing and framing material in attics sealing the building envelope against air infiltration. This efficient air leakage barrier results in less drafts, less fuel used and more money saved. With the advantage of a a remarkably high R-value Envirotherm delivers greater resistance to conductive heat transfer, the largest potential source of energy loss in most residential homes.
